Located in the heart of the spectacular University of British
Columbia campus, Alma Mater Society of UBC Catering provides
a multitude of menu ideas to
meet every occasion. We cater small meetings and large conferences,
casual lunches and salmon barbeques, and special events such
as wedding receptions. AMS Catering is committed to making
your event a success. We offer you knowledgeable and friendly
staff, professional service, and quality ingredients.
To make planning easier, there are no hidden costs. China,
silver, glassware, and all table linens are included when your event is catered inside the Student Union Building. Please note that there is an additional charge when your event is catered elsewhere on the campus.
Knowing your event will
be attended by trained service staff, you can rest assured
you aren't compromising on quality.

AMS Catering practices a strong commitment to sustainability.
All of our coffees are certified organic, shade grown and
Fair Trade. Our dry goods are from local companies wherever
possible and produce is purchased locally when in season.
There are options on our menu to include wild salmon and organic
meats and produce in your meal selections. Our plastic and
metal containers and any paper materials used in menu planning
are recycled and all of the food waste from our menu preparation
is composted, as is a large percentage of our post-consumer
food waste. We use non-disposable dishes, glassware and cutlery
whenever feasible and our cleaning supplies are environmentally
friendly. We welcome your suggestions or ideas on how to better
serve you and the environment in a more sustainable fashion.

In keeping with our commitment to sustainability, we try
to purchase local seasonal produce. We work with an organic
food broker to ensure that we are paying, and the farmers
are receiving, the best price possible for fruits and vegetables.
On a smaller scale, we also support UBC's own organic farm
and are happy to provide menu choices based on seasonal availability
and volume.
